What is a File Certificate for?

With the File Certificate service you can certify the contents of any file you have on your computer (up to 100MB).
You can certify any type of file: videos, documents, PDFs, ZIPs, executables,…

What is the certification process like?

The process is very simple, You will only have to upload onto the website,  the file of the content you want to certify. In a few seconds you will have your certificate available for download. Here’s an example:

What is in the certificate?

Once the certification process is complete, the system will automatically generate your certificate so you can download it from your private area.
Your certificate in PDF format along with other files with technical data (metadata) are delivered in a ZIP file:

PDF certificate

It is the PDF file where you will find all the information related to your certification. Contains:

  • Email of the user requesting the certificate.
  • Date of certification.
  • Unique identifier of the certificate.
  • Name of the file being subject to the certification.
  • Hash (SHA256) of the file under certification.
  • Size (in bytes) of the file under certification.
This PDF file is electronically signed by an advanced electronic signature with a qualified time stamp. You can learn more about this in the legal validity section:
