We provide a very fast and easy-to-use certification system. With just a couple of clicks you will have access to your certificate.

What does the acronym UTC, which appears on the certificate, stand for?

The acronym ‘UTC’ stands for ‘Coordinated Universal Time.’

It is the worldwide standard for timekeeping, serving as the basis for time measurement in different time zones. It is also colloquially known as Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), although there is a small technical difference between GMT and UTC. UTC is used to synchronize clocks and events worldwide.

UTC is the time unit we use at SaveTheProof for issuing certificates, ensuring that the time reflected in the document is not subject to interpretation but is an absolute and reproducible value globally.

!["UTC"]("https://www.savetheproof.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/UTC.jpg" ""UTC"")

Example of UTC time in SaveTheProof certificates

What is SaveTheProof’s training mode and how does it work?

Training mode allows you to explore and try SaveTheProof’s certification platform free of charge for 7 days from the date the account is created.

During this period, you can use the following services free of charge:

- Web Browsing Session Certificate.

- Web Page Certificate.

- File Certificate.

Certificates generated in training mode include a watermark and are issued solely for testing and learning purposes. Therefore, they have no legal validity.

Certificates issued in training mode cannot be edited, modified or subsequently converted into certificates with legal validity.

Should you require a certificate with legal validity, you will need to repeat the certification process once training mode has been deactivated.

Training mode is automatically deactivated when:

- The 7-day free period from the date the account was created ends.

- Funds are added to the account balance.

- A subscription plan is purchased.

From that moment onwards, new certifications carried out using the paid services will be issued without the training-mode watermark and with the guarantees corresponding to the certification service purchased.

The purpose of training mode is to help you become familiar with how SaveTheProof works and carry out any necessary tests before you begin issuing certificates with legal validity.

Web Browsing Session Certificates

Can I copy and paste text (URL, username, password...) from my device?

Yes. If you’re certifying a site where you need to access with a username and password stored on your device, or if the URL of the webpage you need to access is too long to type manually, we recommend enabling SaveTheProof’s access to your local device clipboard so you can copy and paste the data without having to enter it manually.

When you perform your first browsing session certification, the system will display this message before starting the process:

!["Configure]("https://www.savetheproof.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Autorizar-porta-papeles-1.jpg" ""Configure")

Once you click on “Grant access,” your browser will also display a message asking you to allow the use of the clipboard by our platform:

!["Clipboard]("https://www.savetheproof.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/permitir-chrome.jpg" ""Clipboard")

Once clipboard usage is authorized, our platform will display this message indicating that you can copy and paste text from your device to the remote browser:

!["Copy]("https://www.savetheproof.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Autorizar-porta-papeles-2.jpg" ""Copy")

You can leave this permission active for future certifications, or if you prefer, after certification, you can access your browser settings and deactivate it.

You can also enable the feature by accessing your browser’s clipboard settings and adding www.savetheproof.com.

For example, in Chrome:

Access this URL by copying and pasting it into the Chrome browser: chrome://settings/content/clipboard

You will see this screen, where you need to check the option “Sites can ask to see text and images on your clipboard” and simply click Add to include www.savetheproof.com:

!["Chrome]("https://www.savetheproof.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Portapapeles-Chrome-2.png")

Where is my password associated with the browsing session video?

When a browser session certificate is created, there is an option to view the captured video.

In order to view it, you are asked for a password.

We explain how to obtain it: Video Tutorial.

How do I download the certification video from a browsing session?

After recording a web browsing session and certifying it on SaveTheProof, you will have access to the session video in the ‘View my certifications’ section of your account.
